I have 3 or 4 dozen hatching eggs collected and ready to go at present. Two dozen are Blue Laced Red Wyandotte eggs and 2 dozen plus Gold Laced Wyandotte eggs. I can post pictures of parents if you wish. I'm at Barriere.

I'm in Kelowna, are the eggs tested you had good success? Are you coming out this way?

I shipped GLWs to Terrace recently. The customer ordered 12 and I sent 15 with 8 hatching. I could transport to Kamloops on Thursday.

I could get together a mixed batch of eggs for you. Combination of buckeye, buff orpington, gold laced wyandotte and cochin, your choice, my hens are laying well. I am in Enderby, about 1.5 hours northeast of Kelowna (if you didn't know). Email if you are interested as I don't get on this forum until usually mornings. Have a most wonderful and great day, CynthiaM.

Hmmm. Guess there isn't an email button

I dont have any eggs for you but keep searching you should find something soon. Also shipped eggs are always an option if you want variety.
The best storage is in a cool room, I choose our basement because it is unfinished, stays cool and humidity is higher down there. Put them in cartons or hatching racks and tilt one side up, turn 180 degrees 3-4 times a day to keep the embryo's moving in there, then let them come up to room temperature before setting in the incubator.
If you are transporting eggs it is always nice to wrap them individually so they are tight in the carton to minimize movement, in a cooler, and if over long periods then make sure you set them flat at room temperature for 12-24 hours before setting them in the incubator.

I'm about two hours away from Kelowna via Adams Lake Road. I store hatching eggs in our well house where it is cool and moist. As Hidden River said they need to be turned several times per day. There are quite a few chicken keepers wihin an hour of your location with intersting breeds of chickens.
