The river has overflowed it's banks by our place. This is the first time since 1972 or so we have been told. It is amazing to watch the power of the river!! All are safe as of now Praise God for this!!

Flooding can be devastating, I hope you are on high ground and have evacuation plans in place. Good luck to you.

Yikes! All that rushing water with no where to go is quite scary. I hope there is no damage and everyone stays safe.

Here are a couple videos taken last night around 11:00. The first one is taken on my side of the river on one of the highest points you can get to in a vehicle. The house my husband is talking about is a little white dot in the upper right side of the video, beside that just past the flooded meadow, which also includes the driveway into his house are 2 large gravel pits which are, shut down. The one pit had just hauled in their crusher, loader, crusher pieces, and a cat, all of which are under water. The other pit was still able to try to save some of their equipment last night and was down there trying to build berms to keep his pit from fully flooding, and move as much equipment as possible.

The second video is taken on the east side of the highway. The Anderson gravel pit was just opened within the last couple years. He was able to save all his equipment, but it will be quite some time before he is able to return to work in it! My husband had not quite shown the highway when he said there is the highway, but was showing a road that goes back into another gravel pit and a home.

Lower Peace River is now also on evac notice. We are taking our trailer over to help some people move and to move equip out of the church to higher ground. Hopefully this will be a waste of time, but better safe than sorry!

What a feeling of powerlessness that must be for many folks. Thinking of everyone affected by all this. Crazy for there still to be flooding this time of year.
